M. Sc. Sustainable Resources and Energy Supply

The sustainable supply of people with raw materials and energy is an important task now and in the future. Specialists are needed to develop efficient extraction and processing methods as well as intelligent recovery systems in order to ensure the sustainable use of the earth's resources. Graduates in the field of raw materials and waste disposal technology make an important contribution to meeting the raw material and energy needs of future generations.

Structure and Course Content

The Sustainable Resources and Energy Supply course has a modular structure and comprises a total of 4 semesters, with the fourth semester being reserved for the Master's thesis.


  • Students can choose between the following programs of major subjects:
    • Mining
    • Recycling
    • Energy
    • Repository Safety (mainly in English)
  • In all specializations, students can choose from a wide range of options to set their own individual focus and thus design their studies flexibly.

Prerequisites & Application

  • The necessary prerequisite for enrolment in the Master's degree program in Sustainable Resources and Energy Supply is the successful completion of the Bachelor's degree program in Sustainable Resources and Energy Supply or a first professionally qualifying university degree (B.Sc.) in an engineering discipline.
  • In addition, a timely application and proof of German language skills are required as proof of prior professional education.
