The Aachen Master's degree course focuses in particular on the optimization of value creation processes. Operational functions, such as production or logistics, contribute directly to value creation. No less important are functions that have an indirect effect on these processes, such as information management or economic analyses.
Operational value creation processes have undergone lasting change in recent years: Today, they are characterized by internationality and the effective use of state-of-the-art information technologies. The best way to counter the increasing complexity is with efficiency-oriented and cross-company design, i.e. with the consistent optimization of all processes.
Research Areas
In developing its profile, the Faculty of Business and Economics focuses on interdisciplinary topics at the interface between economics, engineering and the natural sciences. Four research areas have been established, on which the specializations are based.
