Program Structure
The four-semester program consists of a compulsory part, an elective part, and the master's thesis. The compulsory part provides the knowledge base that enables graduates to quickly familiarize themselves with simulation science issues. After the first semester, students have the opportunity to focus on simulations in engineering sciences or physics.
Master's Thesis
The master's thesis is a written work in English, in which students demonstrate their ability to work independently on a problem from the field of simulation science within a specified period of 22 weeks. At the end of the period, they defend their work in a master's colloquium.
Career Prospects
After completing the Simulation Sciences program, graduates have career opportunities in many industries. The program's interdisciplinary orientation covers the currently in-demand areas of methodology, fundamentals, and applications of simulation science.
Module Handbook and Examination Regulations
The module handbook presents all modules of the program, providing a comprehensive insight into its contents. Examination regulations govern study goals, study prerequisites, study sequence, and examinations.
Faculty
The Master's program in Simulation Sciences is offered under the leadership of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The faculties of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Georessourcen and Materialtechnik, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Computer Science, and the Medical Faculty are also involved.
