Program Overview

The Rassias Center at Dartmouth College offers various language programs, including virtual semi-intensive courses, Spanish for healthcare professionals, and accelerated language programs.

Semi-Intensive Courses

The Semi-Intensive course provides the opportunity to start learning a new language, refresh and reinforce a previously studied language, or continue the journey toward mastering a language, all with a schedule that meets the needs of the students.


Minimum Age Requirement

The minimum age for these Semi-Intensive courses is 18, with no exceptions.


Course Information

  • The Semi-Intensive course is six weeks long.
  • Dates: January 19 through February 25, 2026 (Mondays and Wednesdays)
  • Time: 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST
  • Schedule:
    • 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Master Class
    • 7:00 - 7:15 p.m. Break
    • 7:15 - 8:00 p.m. Drill

Textbooks and Materials

No textbooks are provided or required, although students may choose to obtain texts or other materials for reference and study aids.


Levels

Multiple levels are available, from rank beginner to advanced, unless otherwise indicated.


Tuition

The tuition for the Semi-Intensive course is $475.


Format

Semi-Intensives are organized in the same manner as Refreshers, with topics available on the registration page and students able to self-select for each class level based on the CEFR Global Scale.


Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy

Requests for withdrawal must be submitted in writing by the date indicated for a full refund; withdrawals after this date may incur program fee penalties.
