Program Overview
The sport management program at the University of Kansas is designed to provide students with a broad-based education in sport management, supplemented with hands-on practical experience in the field. This combination allows students to excel in any sport management setting.
Program Curriculum
The program curriculum includes courses in:
- Sociology of sport
- Sport ethics
- Sport facilities and event management
- Sport law
- Sport finance and economics
- Sport marketing
- Personnel management Students also have the opportunity to take advantage of expansive online summer course offerings for added schedule flexibility.

Program Curriculum Resources
Freshmen and transfer students will complete the KU Core 34 Curriculum for general education requirements. The KU Academic Catalog provides more comprehensive information on the required courses for the bachelor’s degree in sport management at KU.
Admission and Tuition
Admission to the University of Kansas
All high school juniors and seniors, as well as transfer students, will need to apply for undergraduate admission to the University of Kansas.
Admission to Professional Program
Incoming first-year and transfer students may be eligible for direct admission into undergraduate SOEHS programs.
