Introduction to the Sustainable Resources Program

The Sustainable Resources Program is designed to address the global challenges of sustainable resource management, focusing on the intersection of natural resources, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility. The program aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the complex relationships between human activities, natural resources, and the environment.

Program Overview

The Sustainable Resources Program is an interdisciplinary program that combines coursework from the College of Bioresources and Agriculture and the College of Life Sciences. The program is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of sustainable resource management, including the social, economic, and environmental aspects of resource use.

Program Requirements

To complete the Sustainable Resources Program, students must take a minimum of 20 credits of coursework, including:

• At least 3 credits of "Resource" courses
• At least 3 credits of "Policy" courses
• At least 3 credits of "System Integration" courses
• At least 2 high-level courses
• No more than 4 credits of general education courses

Program Application and Admission

To apply for the Sustainable Resources Program, students must:

• Submit an application form
• Provide a transcript of their academic record
• Obtain approval from their department and college
• Submit their application to the program office (Global Change Research Center) within one week after the course add/drop period

Program Completion and Certification

To complete the Sustainable Resources Program, students must:

• Take a minimum of 20 credits of coursework
• Meet the program's requirements
• Apply for program certification within one month before graduation
• Receive approval from the program office and the university's administration
