Master’s Program in Sport Facility Management and Health Promotion
Introduction
A current trend exists in many countries to promote sports development and facility management as a professional area, so that uncountable resources are being invested in this burgeoning area, especially in the form of scientific research in academic circles. National Taiwan University is composed of academic disciplines related to this new field, such as management, medicine, and hygiene, while the Department of Athletics has accumulated vast experience running the facilities and dome, yet no chain existed to connect these resources and manpower. As such, this pioneering interdisciplinary program was created to integrate resources and bring together manpower from around the campus.
Mission
The mission of this program is to provide students with a wide array of knowledge, event access, short term placements and internships to familiarize them with the needs of the current sports and health industry. Students enrolled in this program will be trained to have a multi-tasked competence in professional sports as well as in the health industry.
