Introduction to the Master's in Business Education and Management Training

The Master's degree program in Business Education and Management Training concerns communicating business and economics content to various target groups. The program's structure allows students to stress their own areas of interest. Students can specialize in business education, business administration, economics, or other disciplines and choose between two study tracks oriented to business and economics or the teaching profession.

Short Facts

• Degree: Master of Science (M.Sc.)
• Standard Period of Study: full-time: 4 semesters, part-time (only study track I): up to 8 semesters
• Language of Instruction: German (with some elective modules taught in English)
• Begin of Study: Winter Semester, Summer Semester
• Fees per Semester: Semester contribution. Tuition fees for studying long term or a second degree may apply

Specializations

The program offers plenty of opportunities for individual specialization. In the Elective Area Business and Economics, students can easily combine modules from business administration and economics and confer them to the profiles:

• Sustainability Management and Energy Economics

The general education qualification track of Study Track II provides a further opportunity to specialize. Students can opt for one of the following seven subjects on their way to a teaching position at vocational schools:

• German language
• English language
• Ethics/Philosophy
• Computer Science
• History
• French language
• Mathematics

Study Abroad

The Faculty of Business and Economics maintains numerous contacts and cooperations with foreign universities. In the Erasmus program alone, they partner with more than 60 universities. Learning agreements and the flexible electives area render the recognition of examinations abroad facile. Financial support is available as well.

Graduated - What's Next?

Graduates with a Master's degree in Business Education and Management Training enjoy plenty of work opportunities: corporate training and continuing education, educational counseling, adult education, and various commercial and administrative areas of companies (e.g., human resources management). Graduates of study track II can go for teaching at vocational schools after completing a traineeship. In addition, excellent graduates have the additional opportunity to go into science through a doctorate.

Location

At the Faculty of Business and Economics, students are right on the main campus of TU Dresden in Südvorstadt. The chairs, the dean's office, and the study office locate in the historic Georg-Schumann-Bau and the adjacent Hülße-Bau. A large part of the courses also takes place in these buildings. Like the entire campus, Georg-Schumann-Bau and Hülße-Bau are easy to reach by public transport or bicycle.
