Program Overview
The Psychiatry Residency Program at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Fresno, is a fully accredited program offering strong clinical training in a community-based setting. The program is intentionally small, providing personal attention to each resident as an individual.
Program Description
The program is based at Community Regional Medical Center, VA Central California Health Care System, Community Behavioral Health Center, Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health, Kaiser Permanente, and University Psychiatry Associates. It offers outstanding breadth and variety in its patient population, training venues, and didactic courses. The program emphasizes excellence in clinical work, as well as the development of critical thinking and the ability to absorb and create new knowledge and skills.
