Program Overview
Introduction to the Biomedical Engineering Program
The Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University offers a comprehensive undergraduate program in Biomedical Engineering (BME). Biomedical Engineers innovate medical devices, advanced therapeutics, and better healthcare diagnostics and delivery systems by applying technical skills in engineering design and biological science to challenges in healthcare.
Program Overview
The BME program is available at two locations: Indianapolis and West Lafayette. The Indianapolis location directly admits students to the BME program, while the West Lafayette location admits students who have successfully completed the First-Year Engineering requirements. The program offers the same BME degree at both locations, providing students with exciting new spaces for experiential learning, clinical collaborations, and discovery with global impact.
