The Rutgers University–Camden Creative Writing M.F.A. program is a multi-genre approach that spans poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Admissions Requirements
- Transcripts: A transcript showing the completion of a B.A. degree, with a grade-point average of 3.0 or better
- Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of reference
- Personal Statement: Personal statement (maximum two pages) about academic interests and career goals
- Writing Sample: A writing sample—20 to 30 pages of fiction or non-fiction, or ten pages of poetry, or a combination thereof—10 to 15 pages of prose and five pages of poetry
