Program Overview


Introduction to the Bachelor of Science in Health Administration Program

The Bachelor of Science in Health Administration program at Rutgers in Mays Landing is designed for students interested in transferring into the program. To be considered for admission, students must complete specific courses at Atlantic Cape Community College.


Program Requirements

  • Completion of the following Atlantic Cape Community College courses are either required or recommended before enrollment:
    • ENGL102–English Composition II – required to be considered for admission
    • MATH220 –Statistical Methods – required to be considered for admission
    • ACCT130–Intro to Financial Accounting
  • The above courses should be completed as part of or in addition to an associate’s degree program.
  • Completion of an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is strongly recommended before transferring.
  • The Associate in Business Administration degree is the recommended associate’s degree program at Atlantic Cape, which includes most of the above courses as part of that program.

Transfer Credits and Admission Criteria

  • Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.
  • A minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA is recommended to be considered for admission.
  • Students must receive a grade of C or better for a course to be transferred in.

Program Structure

  • Courses for the Health Administration degree at Rutgers at Atlantic Cape Community College are a combination of courses taught in class at the Atlantic Cape-Mays Landing campus and online courses.
  • Students interested in transferring into this program should be comfortable with taking some online courses.
