Bachelor of Science in Public Health
The Bachelor of Science in Public Health program at Rutgers-Brookdale is designed for students interested in transferring into the program.
Program Requirements
To be considered for admission, students must complete the following Brookdale Community College courses:
- One Biology course: BIOL101 (General Biology) or BIOL111 (Human A&P I) - required
- One course from the following: CHEM116 or CHEM136 - required
- MATH 131 (Statistics I) (required)
These courses should be completed as part of or in addition to an Associate Degree program. Completion of an Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree is required to be considered for admission.
Transfer Credits
Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and must receive a grade of C or better for a course to be transferred in. Students may transfer up to 90 credits from a four-year university or college and community college combined.
Course Format
Courses for the Public Health degree at Rutgers-Brookdale are a combination of courses taught in class at the Lincroft campus and online courses. Students interested in transferring into this program should be comfortable with taking some online and hybrid courses.
