Program Overview


Bachelor of Science in Public Health at Rutgers-Camden Community College

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health program at Rutgers-Camden Community College is designed for students interested in transferring into the program. Completion of the following Camden County College courses is recommended before enrollment:


  • BIO111 - Biology 1
  • CHM111 - Chemistry I
  • MTH111 - Intro to Stats & MTH112 Elements of Stats II or MTH171 Stats I

These courses should be completed as part of or in addition to an associate’s degree program. Completion of an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is strongly recommended before transferring. Completion of an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree is not recommended.


Transfer Credits

Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and must receive a grade of C or better for a course to be transferred in. A minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA is recommended to be considered for admission.


Program Structure

Courses for the Public Health degree at Rutgers at Camden County College are a combination of courses taught in class at the CCC-Blackwood campus and online courses. Students interested in transferring into this program should be comfortable with taking some online courses.
