Program Overview
Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration
The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration program at Rutgers-Mercer is designed for students interested in transferring into the program. Completion of the following Mercer County Community College courses is recommended before enrollment:
- Macroeconomics: ECO111
- Microeconomics: ECO112
- Principles of Financial Accounting: ACC111
- Statistics: BUS205 (or MAT125)
- Pre-Calculus: MAT146
- Computer Concepts with Applications IST101 or Computer Concepts with Programming IST102
- Business Law: BUS107 (recommended, but not required for admission)
Admission Requirements
Completion of an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is required to be considered for admission. Students with an A.A.S. or other degrees may not be eligible for this program and should consult with the Manager of Academic Programs at Rutgers-Mercer before applying.
Transfer Credits
Students may transfer up to 60 credits from a community college to Rutgers-School of Business Camden and must receive a grade of C or better for a course to transfer.
Program Structure
Courses for the Business Administration degree at Rutgers-Mercer are a combination of courses taught in class on the Mercer campus and online courses. Students interested in transferring into this program should be comfortable with taking some online courses.
Eligibility
Students who have not completed all of the above courses may still be considered for admission but should consult with a Rutgers advisor prior to submitting an application.
