- Requirement: Environment This course explores the climate system and climate variability and change from a geographic perspective. The Earth's energy budget, hydrologic cycle, and atmospheric circulation are examined at various spatial and temporal scales. The course covers past climate variability and change, present climate events, and aspects of climate change, including human impacts resulting from deforestation, atmospheric pollution, urbanization, and other factors. The planet's climate future is also examined.
