Department of Anthropology

The Department of Anthropology offers various programs for undergraduate and graduate students.


Undergraduate Programs

  • The department provides three majors:
    • B.A. in Anthropology
    • B.A. in Cultural Anthropology
    • B.S. in Evolutionary Anthropology
  • Four minors are also offered.
  • A Certificate in Evolutionary Medicine is available.
  • Courses and course schedules are provided, including summer and winter courses.
  • Student advising and honors programs are available, including an honors symposium and undergraduate honors timeline.
  • Career opportunities in anthropology, field schools, internships, and undergraduate clubs are also offered.

    • Course Description: Video-production seminar on the social experience of Latinos in the US, including project development, advanced production techniques, narrative structure, storytelling strategies, and ethical issues in filmmaking. Taken in conjunction with 1-credit Video Production Lab for Latino Lives. By permission of instructor only.
