Overview
The Honors Degree program in Asian Studies is designed for students who wish to pursue a more in-depth and challenging course of study. To register for the thesis, students must contact their Asian Studies advisor for a permission code to add the course ASTP 4999: Honor Thesis / Project.

Faculty Advisor
To find a faculty advisor, students can check out the faculty guide of professors who teach approved electives for Asian Studies. They should meet with the Honors Faculty Advisor, Kim Korinek, to discuss their ideas and next steps.
Advisors
Students who have been accepted into the Honors College and are pursuing an honors degree in Asian Studies will have two academic advisors: their honors advisor and major advisor. The advisors are:
- Asian Studies Advising: Faith Brown, Amanda Jarvis
- Honors Advisor: Kim Korinek
Thesis Advisor
Asian Studies majors wishing to complete an honors thesis must have as a thesis advisor a member of the University's research-active faculty with a demonstrated record of scholarly publication and with expertise in the chosen area of inquiry.
