Introduction to the PHTX Master's Degree

The Inaugural Pharmacology and Toxicology Master's Program began Fall 2025. This full-time, 1 year, 3 semester program includes two tracks: a Laboratory Research Track and a Capstone Track.

Program Structure

• The Laboratory Research Track will include required coursework, a research project, and related thesis defense in front of a committee.
• The Capstone Track will focus on coursework and a literature review, from which students will present and defend a thesis.

Eligibility and Application

Students who have a Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and other science-related fields, and are interested in a career in the biomedical/pharmaceutical industry, and/or interested in pursuing a PhD or MD degree, should apply to this program.
