Program Overview
Introduction to the Bachelor of Science in Games
The Bachelor of Science in Games (BSG) degree is designed for students who aspire to hold careers within the professional games industry or a related field, such as simulation, edutainment, or visualization. This degree prepares students to compete in an increasingly complex industry by providing a technical grounding in mathematics and computational skills, core knowledge in the design and production of digital playable experiences, and specialization options that prepare students for technical supervision, tools development, and overall game design.
Program Details
The BSG degree is intended for students who want to deeply engage in this unique discipline, while benefiting from the cross-disciplinary methodology integral to Utah Games. The program has grown steadily over the past decade, and the professional and scholarly study of Games has become firmly established as a discrete academic discipline.
