Program Overview


Digital Photography II Program

The Digital Photography II program is part of the Lifelong Learning initiative, designed to help participants explore the unique features of their digital cameras. This program combines field and classroom sessions to provide immediate digital feedback, allowing students to understand and benefit from their camera's controls.


Program Description

The program focuses on advanced digital photography techniques, including white balance, contrast, HDR, resolution, RAW shooting, metering modes, and black and white photography. Students will work with an experienced photographer to achieve their goals and improve their skills.


Class Sections

The program offers various class sections, including:


  • Spring 2026 Section 1, starting on March 11, 2026
    • This class takes place in person at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC)
    • Saturday sessions are outdoor field trips (location announced in class)
    • Prerequisite: Digital Photography: An Introduction (LLART 115) or equivalent experience
    • Special fee for printed material

Eligibility

Lifelong Learning classes are open to anyone 18 years or older. Participants do not need to be matriculated University students, current students, or staff. Exceptions may be made for individuals 15 years or older with prior approval.
