Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner
The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) program focuses on providing care for conditions unique to women from menarche through the remainder of their lives, as well as reproductive health care for men. WHNPs provide leadership and collaboration in the provision of comprehensive care in a variety of outpatient and acute care settings.

Differentiated Student Expected Outcomes
The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner graduate is prepared to:
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner by integrating theory, clinical expertise, and patient preferences to support the health of women and their families.
- Design, implement, and evaluate population-specific healthcare strategies while applying leadership and ethical principles to influence policy and system-level change.
- Adapt to the evolving healthcare environment and contribute to the advancement of the profession through lifelong learning, innovation, and scholarly engagement.
Emphasis Length
The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Emphasis is completed in 8 semesters.
Mode
The program is offered in a Hybrid format, which includes synchronous and asynchronous online learning with some on-campus activities required.
Clinical
Students gain hands-on experience through 780 direct patient care hours.

The national certification pass rate stands at 100%.

Plan of Study
Revised Plan of Study (Starting Academic Year 25-26) is available, as well as Legacy Plans of Study (Prior to 25 Fall Semester).
Certification Eligibility
Graduates are prepared to sit for national certification from the National Certification Corporation (NCC). Upon successful completion of the exam, candidates are eligible to become certified or licensed to practice.
