- Databehandling og metodeforståelse (Data Processing and Method Understanding): Introduction to basic statistical methods and concepts.
Course Objectives
The overall objective of the course is to familiarize students with data processing, statistical concepts, and academic writing. The course aims to achieve the following learning objectives:
- Knowledge: Students will gain knowledge about forest certifications, sustainable economy, and data processing.
- Skills: Students will develop skills in:
- Forest certification: Screening and identifying documentation requirements for different certification schemes.
- Sustainable economy: Developing scenarios for sustainable economic models.
- Data processing: Establishing a dataset, performing basic statistical analyses, and presenting results.
- Academic writing: Formulating hypotheses, problem statements, and demonstrating correct use of literature and data analysis.
- Competencies: Students will be able to engage in dialogues about certification, analyze and develop cases for sustainable models, and discuss their written assignments.
