- Identifying methodological and epistemological problems in relation to sports science
- Identifying violations of good scientific practice in relation to sports science
Knowledge
Students will gain knowledge to:
- Describe selected ethical theories, including deontological and utilitarian argumentation forms
- Describe central scientific theoretical concepts and problems relevant to critical reflection on sports science as a science
- Describe the societal role and significance of sports science, as well as its historical and institutional background
- Describe scientific processes in sports science, including data-intensive research
- Describe norms for good scientific practice, with a focus on problems relevant to research and education in sports
