Course Description

The course will also cover the principles of data protection and how data can be processed in municipal and hospital settings.

• Explain the main principles of the General Data Protection Regulation and how it is implemented in Denmark.
• Describe the role of the Data Protection Officer.
• Explain the concepts of data controller and data processor.
• Explain the rights of data subjects.
• Explain the main principles of personal and health data protection and how data can be processed in municipal and hospital settings.

Course Content

The course will cover the following topics:

• Introduction to data protection and the General Data Protection Regulation.
• The role of the Data Protection Officer.
• Data controller and data processor.
• Rights of data subjects.
• Principles of personal and health data protection.

Teaching Methods

The course will consist of lectures and group teaching.

Workload

The total workload for the course is 30 hours, divided into:

• Lectures: 15 hours.
• Group teaching: 15 hours.

Assessment

The course will be assessed through a written exam with supervision. The exam will be 4 hours long, and students will be allowed to use all aids except Generative AI.
