Program Structure
The program consists of two main components:
- Grundkursus i dentalmaterialer (Basic Course in Dental Materials)
- Præklinisk kursus i plastiske restaureringer (Preclinical Course in Plastic Restorations)
Grundkursus i Dentalmaterialer
This course provides students with a thorough understanding of dental materials, including their classification, composition, and structure. The course covers the mechanical properties of dental materials, such as strength, durability, and hardness, and explores the principles of material selection for various dental applications.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of dental materials and their properties
- Understand the principles of material selection for dental applications
- Develop skills in handling and applying dental materials
- Analyze and evaluate the mechanical properties of dental materials
Course Content
The course includes:
- Theoretical and practical components
- Lectures and dialog-based group instruction
- Self-study and exercises
- Practical training in the use of rotating and non-rotating instruments
- Simple material exercises using alginate, gypsum, cements, and plastic filling materials
Præklinisk Kursus i Plastiske Restaureringer
This course focuses on the principles and techniques of plastic restorations, including the preparation and restoration of teeth using various materials and techniques.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of plastic restoration materials and their properties
- Understand the principles of tooth preparation and restoration
- Develop skills in handling and applying plastic restoration materials
- Analyze and evaluate the quality of restorations
Course Content
The course includes:
- Theoretical and practical components
- Lectures and dialog-based group instruction
- Self-study and exercises
- Practical training in the preparation and restoration of teeth using various materials and techniques
Program Requirements
To participate in the program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of the course SODB16013U Kursus i førstehjælp (Course in First Aid)
- Participation in practical exercises and completion of assignments
- Passing a written exam

The program is evaluated based on the student's ability to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of dental materials and their properties
- Understand the principles of material selection for dental applications
- Develop skills in handling and applying dental materials
