Program Description

The program is a mandatory part of the Master's program in Medicine. The exam evaluates the clinical course in gynaecology and obstetrics. International students can take the exam in English.

Assessment Criteria

To achieve the grade 12, the student must:

• As a medical expert and professional, on the basis of a case:
  • Knowledge: Account for the relevant gynaecological problem areas.
  • Skills:
    • Identify the most important clinical information in the case
    • Indicate one or more likely diagnoses
    • Discuss etiology, pathogenesis, and prognosis
    • Demonstrate how the patient can be informed and advised.
    • Demonstrate on a phantom how gynaecological examinations, podnings, and smears are performed.
  • Competences:
    • Suggest and discuss a relevant examination program
    • Suggest evidence-based treatment and discuss the expected effect of treatment.
