Program Overview

  • Course Description: The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to teach natural science subjects effectively, focusing on constructivist learning theory and inquiry-based teaching.
  • Learning Objectives:
    • Knowledge: Explain the didactics of the subject and its relation to constructivist learning theory, focusing on inquiry-based teaching.
    • Skills: Apply subject-specific terminology correctly, develop and use learning objectives for teaching planning and implementation, analyze and evaluate planned lessons, and organize experimental and fieldwork.
    • Competencies: Plan, execute, and reflect on inquiry-based teaching, using one's own curiosity, knowledge, skills, strategies, and metacognition related to student learning.

  • Examination Form: Practical oral examination, 60 minutes with supervision
  • Continuous Assessment: 15 hours
  • Examination Details: The examination consists of two parts: four individual assignments submitted during the course and a final, oral/practical evaluation. The four assignments weigh equally and count for 40% of the final grade. The final oral/practical evaluation counts for 60% of the final grade.
