Program Overview
Diagnostic Radiology Residency
The Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin is a four-year program in which residents obtain excellent training in all fields of radiology under the guidance of fellowship-trained faculty. The training program balances clinical responsibilities with a comprehensive didactic curriculum, multidisciplinary case conferences and teaching/research opportunities, all while allowing an optimal work-life balance.

- Residents will rotate at various training facilities, including:
- Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin
- Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas
- Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas

- Austin Radiological Association
Training Facilities
- Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin: the area’s largest medical-surgical acute care center, a Joint Commission-accredited part of the Ascension Seton Family of Hospitals.
- Dell Seton Medical Center: the primary teaching hospital of Dell Med, the region’s only Level I trauma center, owned and operated by Ascension Seton.
- Dell Children’s Medical Center: the only pediatric Level I trauma center and Level IV NICU care center in Central Texas.
- UT Health Austin: the clinical practice of Dell Med, using a revolutionary, team-based practice model that takes a multidisciplinary approach to treating people with complex medical conditions.
- Austin Radiological Association: a large multispecialty radiology practice that has served the Austin community for over 50 years.
