Program Overview
The Interior Design Major at Virginia Tech is a comprehensive program that prepares students for a career in interior design. The program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the principles of interior design, as well as the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the field.

Graduation Requirements
To graduate from the Interior Design Major program, students must:
- Maintain a 2.0 minimum GPA in all courses taken at Virginia Tech.
- Maintain an overall 2.5 minimum GPA in all major courses.
- Complete all required courses with a grade of "C-" or better.
- Complete a minimum of 120 credits.
Satisfactory Progress
Students must maintain a 2.0 minimum GPA in all courses taken at Virginia Tech and a 2.5 minimum GPA in all major courses to continue in the program. If a student's GPA drops below a 2.5 in major courses, they must repeat courses with below a 2.5 to elevate their GPA to 2.5 before continuing in the degree.
Foreign Language Requirement
Students who do not successfully complete at least 2 units of a single language, classical language, or American Sign Language during high school must successfully complete 6 semester hours of a single college-level language or classical language at the college level. Such semester hours are in addition to those normally required for graduation.
