Virginia Tech Data Science for the Public Good Program

The Virginia Tech Data Science for the Public Good Program is designed to train the future generation of data scientists.


Program Details

The program is supported by DataCamp, a learning platform for data science and analytics, and the Data Analytics in Agriculture, Community, and Rural Economics (DATA-ACRE) program, grant no. 9, from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Institute of Food and Agriculture.


The Team

The program is led by Le Wang, Ph.D., Director, Data Science for the Public Good and Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics Professor and David M. Kohl Chair.

The DSPG class is supported by DataCamp, which offers 350+ courses by expert instructors on topics such as importing data, data visualization, and machine learning.
