Practice Readiness Assessment Orientation for International Medical Graduate Candidates

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the group series, IMG candidates will be equipped to:

• Relate the competencies of CanMEDS roles in the context of caring for patients in Alberta
• Employ strategies in response to common challenges in IMG practice and integration into the Canadian healthcare system
• Initiate an action plan for continuing learning in practice

This two-day course is offered online multiple times per year.

Mainpro+ Group Learning This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the University of Calgary Office of Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development for up to 8 Mainpro+ credits.

MOC Section 1 This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the University of Calgary Office of Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development.
