Introduction to the Bachelor of Commerce Program
The Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree program at the Haskayne School of Business is designed to prepare students for successful careers in business and commerce. The program offers a comprehensive education in business principles, practices, and theories, with a focus on developing students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Program Structure
The BComm program consists of a common core curriculum, which provides a foundation in business principles, and a range of concentration areas that allow students to specialize in a particular field of interest. The program also offers opportunities for students to participate in research-intensive coursework, co-operative education, and study abroad programs.

Honours Program
The BComm Honours Program is designed for exceptionally motivated students who wish to pursue additional research-intensive coursework under the close guidance of a Haskayne faculty member. This program provides students with practical research knowledge in their chosen area of interest and is ideal for students who wish to pursue graduate studies.
Co-operative Education
The Co-op program provides students with 8 to 12 months of supervised and paid work experience in addition to the four-year degree program. This program allows students to gain practical experience in their field of interest, develop a network of contacts, and enhance their career prospects.
Career Development Centre
The Career Development Centre provides professional career coaching and advice to help BComm students identify their key skills and prepare for their future careers. The centre also offers a business-focused online job board and runs a variety of programs and events that help students connect with companies that hire BComm students and graduates.
Study Abroad
The Haskayne School of Business offers students the opportunity to study abroad through its international exchange program. This program allows students to spend a semester abroad, immersed in another culture, learning about global business practices, and growing both personally and professionally.
Business Library
The Business Library provides students with access to a wide range of business resources, including online journals, company and industry reports, and a Bloomberg terminal. The library also offers guides on citing sources and provides real-time online help.
Mentorship Program
The BMO Mentorship Program at the Haskayne School of Business provides students with the opportunity to pair with established business professionals in the Calgary community. This program allows students to build and develop their business identity, network within the local business community, and gain applicable insight and knowledge relating to their future endeavors.
Student Clubs
The Haskayne School of Business has a range of student clubs and organizations that provide students with opportunities to build important relationships with classmates and professors, develop their leadership skills, and enhance their career prospects.

Registration
Students are advised to register for both fall and winter semesters at the same time. The pre-commerce courses are shared by many faculties, and students should add themselves to the waitlist or monitor the waitlist for spaces to open.
Academic Advising
Haskayne program specialists are available to assist students with academic rules and permission, course selection, degree planning, program changes, and graduation requirements. Students can book an appointment with a program specialist or email them for advice.
Transfer Credit
Students who have received advanced credit, such as International Baccalaureate or Advanced Placement credit, should register as any first-year student would until their credit is officially awarded. Students can view their transfer credit by logging in to their Student Centre and reviewing their Transfer Credit Report.

A glossary of terms is available to help first-year students navigate the university system. Many registration resources are available through the Haskayne Undergraduate Student Success Office and the Office of the Registrar.
