The Online Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a Specialization in Health-System Pharmacy Administration

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy offers an online master’s in pharmaceutical sciences with a specialization in health-system pharmacy administration. This program is designed for working professionals with a pharmacy degree who want to secure their MS degree while working.

Program Details

• The program is taught by world-class faculty with decades of expertise in leading and managing complex health-systems.
• The program can be completed in two years full-time or up to five years part-time.
• Full- and part-time options are available.
• No GRE is required for admission.

Curriculum

The online degree program is modeled after the Master of Science Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a Specialization in Health-System Pharmacy Administration residential program, without the two-year residency requirement. Courses are taught within the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy’s Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE) in a digital (online) environment. Class lectures are led by UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy faculty and other leaders in health-system pharmacy. The curriculum consists of coursework in advanced topics, such as human resource management, health-systems financial management, medication safety, quality improvement, and health-system pharmacy operations.

Admissions

Applications to the online Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a Specialization in Health-System Pharmacy Administration are reviewed on a rolling basis. Admissions highlights include:

The Online Learning Experience

The online program is designed for working professionals with a pharmacy degree. Course texts, recorded lectures, and other materials are available for access at any time. Students are expected to make weekly contributions to online discussion forums and complete various assignments by deadlines set throughout the semester.
