Overview
The Business of Healthcare Certificate is designed for students who have completed two prerequisite/co-requisite courses within the PharmD curriculum, including PHCY 609: The US Healthcare System (2 credit hours) and PHCY 619: Business of Healthcare: Focus on the Pharmacy Enterprise (2 credit hours).
Course Requirements
The certificate requires the following courses:
- Core Courses:
- PHCY 825: Business of Health Care Seminar (1.5 credit hours)
- PHCY 826: Business of Health Care Seminar II (1.5 credit hours)
- PHCY 827: Business of Health Care Seminar III (2 credit hours)
- Electives:
- A minimum of 4 credit hours of elective courses are required from the list below:
- PHCY 815: Data Science in Pharmacy (1 credit hour)
- PHCY 817: Making Medicine: The Process of Drug Development (1.5 credit hours)
- PHCY 832: Innovations in Community-Based Pharmacy Practice (1.5 credit hours)
