MPP Program Overview

The Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill received approval from the UNC Board of Governors in July 2021. It is the inaugural MPP in the UNC System and the only public university MPP in North Carolina. The program requires 48 credit hours.

Program Structure

• The program offers an accelerated dual bachelor’s-graduate degree, allowing students to take graduate MPP courses in the spring semester of their senior year as they complete their undergraduate degree.
• Students can receive an MPP in one additional academic year.
