Master of Science in Cell Biology & Physiology

The Master of Science in Cell Biology & Physiology program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and methods of cell biology and physiology.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum competitive overall GPA = 3.0
• Prerequisite Coursework:
  • 2 biology courses, one with a laboratory
  • 2 general chemistry courses, each with a laboratory
  • 1 organic chemistry or biochemistry course
  • All prerequisite courses must be completed within 7 years preceding application to the program

Application Materials

The following application materials are required:

• Resume/Curriculum Vitae (1-2 pages)
• Letters of Recommendation: The names and contact information of three professional and/or academic references are required.
• Academic Statement of Purpose: Applicants should upload a single-spaced statement of purpose of up to 500 words explaining their future career interests, what they hope to gain from this program personally and professionally, and any background and life experiences, including cultural, geographical, financial, educational, and opportunities or challenges that have motivated their professional interests.
• Academic Transcripts: Applicants must upload all unofficial academic transcript(s), including the date of graduation/degree conferral.
• Standardized Test Scores: This program uses a holistic application review process. GRE scores are neither required nor recommended. For international applicants, a TOEFL or IELTS score is required and may be no more than two years old.
