The Master in Management, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (MTE) program offers a unique opportunity for students to apply their skills in real-world business environments. Program Structure
- The Master Project in Industry is an exclusive six-month research-focused internship during the final semester of the MTE program.
- The project takes place during the final semester of the MTE program, typically following three semesters of coursework.
- It starts upon the successful completion of the Master’s cycle or conditional admission to the Master’s project.
Duration, Dates, and Location
- Duration: The Master Project in Industry spans six months.
- Session Dates:
- Spring Session: Begins at the end of February
- Fall Session: Begins at the end of July
- Location: The project must be carried out in a non-academic organization, such as a company or public organization, either in Switzerland or abroad.
Project Definition and Supervision
- The Master Project in Industry offers flexibility in defining the research topic, which can be proposed either by the company or the student.
- Project Scope: The chosen topic must be relevant to the content of the MTE studies and should include a research or innovation component.
- Student Responsibilities: Students are tasked with identifying the research topic, proposing a methodology, and planning the deliverables.
- Supervision: Each project benefits from dual supervision by both a company supervisor and an academic supervisor.
Validation of the Master Project
- Thesis Submission: Students must submit a written Master thesis at the conclusion of the project.
- Oral Defense: A successful oral defense of the thesis before a jury is required to complete the Master in Management, Technology, and Entrepreneurship.
