Program Overview

The Transforming Business with AI & Data Tech program is a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Value Chain Data Technologies offered by EPFL. This program aims to bridge the digital gap for experienced professionals, enabling them to be catalysts for innovation by bringing ideas and shaping new business models.


Program Description

The program focuses on advances in data technologies, enabling the use of trusted data to drive dynamic operations through agile, system-wide connection. This end-to-end value chain connectivity provides visibility for profitable performance and transparency for positive impact. The central pillar to success is trust in data and people.


Participant Profile

The program is designed for:


  • Value chain professionals (e.g., sourcing to supply, manufacturing, quality, engineering, finance)
  • Problem solvers and project leaders charged with digitalization initiatives
  • People who would like to leverage technology to improve operations performance and positive impact
  • Practitioners who seek access to a niche network of esteemed value chain/supply chain experts
  • Digital transformation leaders who want to certify their experience (5 to 20+ years)

Format

Each module consists of 3 full class days (usually Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays), in person at the EPFL Campus in Lausanne, Switzerland, along with remote and blended learning. The program is designed to enable participants to continue their work and study at the same time.

Managing Innovation in the Era of Data and AI

Develops a holistic approach to AI and Data Science, ensuring the seamless execution of data-centric projects in a business context.


Building IoT & Digital Twins Roadmaps

Provides the knowledge to identify high-impact opportunities for IoT and Digital Twins, translate business goals into technology roadmaps, and guide informed, future-ready decisions.


Business Model Innovation Lighthouse

Equips participants with the insight and confidence to design sustainable, data-driven business model innovations.


Leading Trusted Digital Transformation

Empowers participants to lead digital change that is secure, responsible, and trusted, blending cybersecurity expertise with leadership skills.


Admissions & Tuition

  • The fee for the full CAS (all modules) is 9,800 CHF.
  • It is also possible to take individual modules, with a fee of 2,900 CHF per module.
  • Multiple module discounts are offered when applying for 2 modules or more.

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience
  • Fluency in English
