Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy is a one-year part-time program designed to build understanding of many domains of clinical pharmacy practice, giving students the skills to provide positive patient outcomes within a complex health environment. The program involves small group interactive learning and online tutorials with specialists and experts, using a multidisciplinary team approach that includes input from clinical pharmacists, medical practitioners, academia, and government agencies from metropolitan and rural environments.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for entry, students need:


  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and
  • Current, general registration as a pharmacist in their country of practice.
  • A grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in their previous qualification. Entry is competitive with a limited intake. Applicants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander who meet the minimum entry requirements for this program will be offered a place.

Fees and Scholarships

  • The indicative annual fee for domestic students is approximately $4,770.
  • The indicative annual fee for international students is approximately AUD $29,028.
  • Additional costs may include travel and living expenses for vacation work, fieldwork, or work experience.
  • Scholarships are available, and students may be eligible for financial aid from their home country or the Australian Government.

How to Apply

All international applications should be submitted to UQ. The program code for the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy is 5015. International students who want to study this program will not be eligible for a Student Visa (subclass 500). To study this program in Australia, students will need an Australian visa or residency status with sufficient study entitlement. Some programs can also be studied from outside Australia.


English Language Requirements

  • IELTS overall 7; reading 7; writing 7; speaking 7; listening 7.
  • TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 100, listening 25, reading 25, writing 27, speaking 23.
  • PTE Academic - Overall 72, sub bands minimum 72.
  • CES - Overall 185, All sub bands minimum 185.
