Overview

The Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) is a 1-year program where students learn how to plan and conduct a research project with a resultant manuscript written for publication in a journal. Students have an opportunity to make a significant contribution to public health research and establish their skills as a researcher, as well as enhance their professional reputation.

Entry Requirements

Prerequisites

• A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, and
• Secured an honours project and supervisor approved by the Head of School
• A grade point average (GPA) of 5.0 on a 7-point scale in the previous qualification

Minimum Entry Score

• The score must be at least equivalent to the required Australian Year 12 ATAR score

English Language Requirements

• IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6
• TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19
• PTE Academic - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands
• BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills
• CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands
• OET is not accepted

Indicative Annual Fee

• Approximate yearly cost of tuition (16 units)
• Fees are reviewed each year and may increase

Government Assistance

• Domestic places in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) are Commonwealth supported
• HECS-HELP is an Australian Government loan scheme to assist eligible students with the cost of their student contribution amounts
• Centrelink support is available for eligible Australian university students
