Program Details

Chemical Biology

The Chemical Biology program develops specialist knowledge at the interface of chemistry and biology. Students gain chemical knowledge about cellular processes and biomolecular interactions, and explore the chemical, computational and imaging techniques used to analyse them. The program applies the principles of inorganic and organic chemistry to investigate the nature of chemical reactions in biological systems at the molecular level. Studying chemical biology complements courses in biochemistry and molecular biology, genetics, biological and biomedical sciences.
