Courses

  • DADM 305: Advanced Standing DMD Program for Foreign-Trained Faculty Represents coursework found in the DMD program, used for tuition assessment and registration purposes. The course includes lectures and clinical work, and is graded on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory basis. It may be repeated, and students may register in more than one section per term. However, it does not provide graduation credit. Prerequisites include a full-time appointment as a faculty member in the UIC College of Dentistry, possession of a certificate of completed training in one of the ADA-recognized dental specialties from an accredited program in the U.S. or Canada, and successful completion of all sections of Part I of the American National Dental Board.
  • DADM 325: Extramural Clinical Experience This course provides students with the opportunity to provide comprehensive dental services to diverse populations in rural settings and in the Chicago metropolitan area under the guidance of community-based faculty. The course may be repeated, and students may register in more than one section per term.
  • DADM 396: Independent Study in Dentistry This course allows for faculty-supervised independent study in any of the dental disciplines, covering topics not included in regular course offerings. The course is graded on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory basis, may be repeated, and students may register in more than one section per term. However, it does not provide credit toward the DMD or DDS degree. Prerequisites include enrollment in the DDS or DMD Program and consent of the instructor.
  • DADM 399: Extended Senior Clinics This course is a continuation of senior clinical activities and requirements, established for students to complete their senior year D.D.S. clinical requirements.
