Art (M.F.A.)
The Department of Art and Art History has demonstrated its commitment to graduate education for over forty years. The program is the most comprehensive visual arts program in the Rocky Mountain West and one of the largest academic departments at CSU.
Overview
The Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) program offers a range of areas of study, including:
- Drawing
- Fibers
- Graphic design
- Metalsmithing and jewelry
- Painting
- Printmaking
- Sculpture
Western Regional Graduate Program
As an eligible resident of a Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) member state or territory, students may be admitted to the on-campus format of this program and pay resident tuition rates. Only on-campus formats are WRGP eligible.

Student Employment
Graduate students interested in employment positions (GTA, GRA, GSA appointments and hourly positions) should contact their advisor and their departmental graduate coordinator for the application process.
