M.S. in Design and Merchandising
The master’s program in Design and Merchandising focuses on creatively solving problems related to sustainability, health and wellness, and social responsibility. With an M.S. degree in Design and Merchandising, students can choose to focus their studies on one of two specializations: Apparel and Merchandising or Interior Design.
Specializations
- Apparel and Merchandising: Focus on scientific discovery and creative scholarship in the fields of apparel design and production, consumer behavior, historic fashion and textiles, merchandising, product development, social-psychological and cultural aspects of dress, and textile science supporting well-being.
- Interior Design: Focus on design research, person-environment relationships, and evidence-based design scholarship for interior architecture environments to support user health and wellness and environmental sustainability.
Program Details
The graduate student population ranges from 20-30 students, allowing for small class sizes and focused mentoring from faculty.
