ESS 516 - Climate Justice and Policy

Overview

This course provides an overview of the unequal distribution of the benefits of natural resource use and the burdens of environmental degradation across spatiotemporal scales, and the role of policy tools and approaches in creating, exacerbating, or addressing those inequalities. It examines environmental and climate justice (EJ/CJ) concepts, recognizes environmental and climate inequalities, and teaches how to integrate EJ/CJ considerations in policy analysis and review.

Prerequisite

Credit not allowed for both ESS 516 and NR 516.
