Program Overview

The Department of Design and Merchandising offers various programs, including the B.S. in Apparel and Merchandising, B.S. in Interior Architecture and Design, and M.S. in Design and Merchandising.


B.S. in Apparel and Merchandising

The B.S. in Apparel and Merchandising program provides students with a comprehensive education in the design, production, and merchandising of apparel and textiles. The program includes coursework in:

  • Computer-aided design
  • Technical package and packaging/branding strategies

Product Development Concentration

The Product Development Concentration is designed to provide students with technical skills and experience in developing consumer products with an emphasis on sustainability and accessibility. The concentration includes coursework in:

Program Requirements

The B.S. in Apparel and Merchandising program requires 120 credits, including:
