Course Details
JTC 301 - Corporate and Professional Communication (GT-CO3)
This course is designed to improve writing skills, with a focus on corporate and professional communication. Students will create various writing projects, including memos, proposals, brochures, outlines, annotated bibliographies, and white papers, and receive feedback from peers and instructors.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply and reflect upon contemporary texts and theories and their implications for competent corporate and professional communication.
- Explain and practice strategies to make writing more concise, ethical, and straightforward.
- Recognize audience members' areas of individual difference and modify writing practices based on these differences.
- Create common business documents and presentations that adhere to established business writing and communication norms.
- Demonstrate basic competence in common new media technologies used in business communication contexts.

CO 150 (College Composition) or Seminar
