SPCM 350 - Evaluating Contemporary Film
SPCM 350 is a 3-credit course that encourages a more informed, critical spectatorship of contemporary film. The course introduces, explains, and discusses the phenomenal language, techniques, and conventions of film form, as well as the historical background, political and economical influences, and cultural assumptions that shape contemporary films.
Prerequisite
The prerequisite for SPCM 350 is CO 150 (College Composition) or SPCM 100 (Communication and Popular Culture) or SPCM 130 (Relational and Organizational Communication) or SPCM 200 (Public Speaking) or SPCM 201 (History and Theory of Rhetoric) or SPCM 207 (Public Argumentation), and sophomore standing.
