Program Overview
The Washington University-Fudan University Executive MBA program is a partnership between the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis, and the School of Management, Fudan University. Delivered in English, the program closely matches the curriculum and structure of Olin Business School’s local Executive MBA program. While faculty members from Olin Business School teach the majority of the courses, professors from Fudan University also support some of the courses to instill local perspectives and provide the latest insights to China’s rapidly changing economy.
Program Details
Graduates will obtain an MBA degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a certificate from Fudan University, and will also be a member of both Universities’ alumni communities.
Admission Process
The admission process involves the following steps:
- Pre-application: Filling out a pre-admission form and submitting a CV.
- Application Form: Completing a full application form if the applicant matches the EMBA profile.
- Recommendation Letter: Submitting two recommendation letters written in English.
- Sponsorship Letter: Submitting a letter confirming the applicant’s employer understands the need for absence from work and demonstrating an agreement on financial support.
- Official Transcript and degree copy: Submitting the official transcript and degree/certificate copy to the program office.
- Application fee: Paying a nonrefundable application fee of RMB 1,200.
Interview and Admission
- Interview: Only short-listed applicants will be invited to attend admission interviews, which are held on an ongoing basis.
- Admission: The Admission Committee, constituted of professors from both universities, will review applications and make a decision regarding admission. The admission decision will be informed within 7 days after the interview. Admitted candidates must submit a nonrefundable deposit to hold a place in the class, which is applied toward the total tuition.

The program curriculum closely matches that of Olin Business School’s local Executive MBA program, with faculty members from Olin Business School teaching the majority of the courses. Professors from Fudan University also support some of the courses to provide local perspectives and insights into China’s economy.
